I would like to easily record 3-45 second clips for showing before and after when i fix things as a developer. Sounds super simple I know.
Like most mobile developers i use a mac.
Really making the videos fast, short, simple quick, just the kind of thing that is so easy you want to do it on every single bug as part of your workflow many times a week.
audio is not needed, but where you tap on the screen is needed but we can get that from developer options on android at least.
- Quicktime is an ideal choice but it feels a little tedious to use record selected area and the files are large, although the trip is awesome
- vysor.io feels like it might be one of the best, you have to pay but $10/yr and $40/lifetime might be so cheap it's worth it
- Android Studio's mirror device feature is "ok", but
- the small window you stop recording tends to show up over the recording your making
- you can't wiggle the mouse and have it draw attention to something you want to let people pay attention to
- Android Studio is a memory hog. I would like something I have a QA or vscode flutter dev use
