I still remember my first blockchain class. It was both exciting and overwhelming. Interestingly, my first animation class gave me a similar feeling, except this one feels even tougher. But as you know:
“The one who gives up is the one who regrets.”
While I’m diving deep into animation, I know that I will eventually have to choose a specific path and explore it deeply for Web3 because the industry is vast.
That aside, my recent four-hour animation session was more than just learning. I met incredibly smart and talented people. During the one-hour break, I casually talked with some classmates about Blockchain and Web3.
What Surprised Me?
When I asked about their awareness of Web3, most had never heard of it. Some recognized the term “blockchain,” but it was not until I mentioned crypto that a few had any idea what I was talking about.
This got me thinking. Why is Web3 adoption still so limited outside developer circles?
These are my key Takeaways
- Web3 Needs Better Awareness and Sensitization
If we fail to educate people properly, Web3’s growth will be limited. Numerous talented professionals, including designers, animators, cybersecurity experts, data scientists, and product managers, could bring immense value to the space if they understood how Web3 could complement their skills. - We Need Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Web3 is heavily developer-driven, but the next big breakthroughs may not come from developers alone. Instead, they might come from:
🎨 Animators and Digital Artists who will revolutionize NFT storytelling and decentralized content creation.
🎮 Game Developers who will build on-chain economies and Web3-native experiences.
🛡️ Cybersecurity Experts who will secure wallets, smart contracts, and bridges.
📊 Data Scientists and AI Engineers who will enhance DeFi analytics, AI-powered smart contracts, and risk models.
✨ Product Designers and UX Experts who will make Web3 applications more user-friendly.
- The Future of Web3 Goes Beyond Developers For decentralization to truly thrive, we need more than just developers. We need thinkers, artists, scientists, storytellers, and visionaries.
At its core, Web3 is not just about writing code; it is about rethinking entire systems.
If we want a truly decentralized future, we must break out of our developer-only bubble and invite diverse skill sets.
Web3 is not just blockchain. It is blockchain combined with other tech fields.
Let us build a future where everyone has a role to play.
What Do You Think?
How do you see non-developers contributing to Web3? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. If you found this valuable, please consider clapping and sharing it to spread the conversation further.
