On February 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, trainers can look forward to an exciting double feature in Pokémon GO celebrating Karrablast and Shelmet. During this event, both Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, giving trainers a chance to encounter shiny Karrablast or shiny Shelmet if luck is on their side! Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet during the event or up to five hours afterward to obtain an Escavalier or Accelgor, both armed with exclusive Charged Attacks: Razor Shell and Energy Ball respectively. Event bonuses will include triple Catch XP, extra Candy, and increased chances for trainers Level 31 and up to receive Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will have a duration of three hours, and trainers will be able to make an additional special trade on the day. Special Research tasks focused on catching Karrablast and Shelmet will yield enticing rewards, including encounters with both Pokémon and other valuable items. Special Research tickets are available for $2.00. Trainers that log in during the Community Day event can also participate in Special Background Timed Research, which will last a week after the event.
