Shakira’s Private Sons Sasha & Milan Are Diving into the Music World in an Unexpected Way

This is not a drill: Shakira‘s two sons, Milan and Sasha, are joining their mama in the music industry! The preteens are making waves in their own way, with Sasha singing and Milan playing an instrument. Truly, the music genes are strong in this family.

Per Hola, Sasha sang and Milan played drums for a new single entitled “The One” with a band called Let It Beat. Along with that, they collaborated with other artists for the band’s other single, “It’s All for You.” (You can find them all on Spotify; don’t worry!)

And we did some digging: Let It Beat isn’t their band, it’s actually an album that was released on Jan 24, 2025, through the Let It Beat! Music Academy in Miami. The Let It Beat! Music Academy is a musical academy that offers students lessons in instruments, vocals, and music production, per their website.

So it’s clear that Shakira’s sons are honing in on their passion for music, and are already making waves by being on an album as preteens!

For those who don’t know, the Shakira Perfumes founder and her ex Gerard Piqué were together for over a decade after meeting in 2010 on the set of her music video “Waka Waka.” The two seemed quite happy together throughout their relationship, later welcoming two children together named Milan, born in Jan 2013, and Sasha, born in Jan 2015.

In a previous interview with People en Espagnol, she talked about her sons, and about her style of motherhood. “My [little] free time, I have had to dedicate to fighting to get my children, my parents, my new life outside of Spain afloat. Provide a new home for my children,” she said to the outlet. “… I am with them and for them, and working to offer them a structure that gives them stability. Little by little I am getting it, rebuilding the nest.”
