Conclusion:
Two Rooms and a Boom is one of the best party games I've ever played. At its heart, this is a social deduction game. Yet, unlike others you have ever played.
Two Rooms and a Boom is unique in that it requires quite a few players and at least two rooms. The players will usually be up moving around the rooms having secret conversations, but it could be done around a table. I have found this to be a great "Get to know you game" to start off an evening. It has a bit of a rules explanation, but most of the fun is brought by the players.
There are hard decisions that must be made. You also need to watch your conversations and watch who is voting for whom. This social interaction and social deduction is where the game shines. Then, as the players become more comfortable additional characters can be added to the game. This allows the game to grow with what group you may have for the night.
The rules are simple. You do need a crowd of people willing to play the game. Shyer people may have issues trying to interact as well but this can be twisted to their advantage. There are so many little wrinkles to the social aspect of this game.
So if I like it so much why am I purging it? We never have a group of people this large to play a game like this. As much as I like the game and enjoy it, I am better off playing someone else's copy at a convention or in their home. I would never have a group large enough to really enjoy this game and to get out of it what is deserves. If you are able to muster a large number of people this is one of (if not the) top game that I would reach for if I were you. Excellent game for sure and so much fun.

Components:
The components are really simple. You get a deck of cards. The cards are good quality and the text and icons are easy to understand. There is a character book that people can read to understand their character if needed. This is a party game at its heart so everything is kept very simple.
Rule Book:
The rule book is presented on nice paper and in full color. I was able to read the rules within 10 minutes and most will be up and playing. There is a character book also included for when you are ready to introduce these new wrinkles into the game. The rules are very simple for this game, but there are a lot of new things for non gamers. I recommend taking it slow with them as when the game starts it will be harder to go over the rules. Including a moderator the first time might be useful.
Flow of the Game:
The game requires two teams and two rooms. The blue team has a President and the red team has a bomber. People are equally distributed to different rooms and then given a facedown character card.
Players in each room will select a leader and who are the hostages (to be sent to the other room at the end of the round).
There are 3 rounds to the game. If the bomber is in the same round as the President, then the Red Team wins. Otherwise, the Blue Team wins.
Each round has a length and a number of hostages that will be exchanged based on the player count.
There are also different characters that can be given to players randomly which will change up the rules of the game.
Should I buy this game?:
I feel like this game is better with more players. The game box says it goes up to 30 people and I would state the more the merrier with this one. This is a great party game and one that non gamers can enjoy right alongside with gamers. This is one of the top party games and "get to know you" games on the market.
