Gather Your Party is a card based party game that sees you in a tavern, gathering various heroes into your party in order to complete quests. You'll be aiming to gain 4 reputation points to win, but if your heroes have drunk too much while waiting in the tavern (4 drinks), then you are out of the game.

To play, each player takes 5 cards from the Go Drinking deck. These contain the various adventurers and event cards. Then players take turns using 2 actions. It costs 1 action to draw a new card or play a card from hand, and it costs 2 action to complete one of the 4 face-up quests. Each card played has powers that may help/hinder yourself and other players.

Things I Liked:
🏆It's really easy to learn/set up/play. Rules are easy to follow, and it's quick to jump into the game.
🏆You can tailor the game to what you want. There are beginner setups, setups where you can turn it into an actual drinking game, where there is the most player interaction. The website lists various suggested setups for different gameplay styles.
🏆 Each hero type has 3 different levels, and they have increasing powers depending on the level, so you have more options to complete quests and can use the cards that help you the most.
🏆Legendary heroes can be added into the game that introduce some really chaotic interactions. These are great to vary the game once you've played a few times.
🏆 I really like the theme. It feels like the start of a beginner D&D campaign where your characters are all in the tavern looking for quests.

Things I Liked Less:
🥤Player elimination - this may be an issue for some. However, the game is fairly quick, so waiting while out isn't too long.
🥤 Minor rulebook annoyance - the setup is detailed on page 12. All of the cards' info is in the pages prior to setup.
🥤Luck of the draw is an element to consider. Especially with heroes being drawn. It may help to have some face-up cards from the go drinking deck to choose from when drawing cards.

Overall, we had a lot of fun playing Gather Your Party. It is a good theme, fun gameplay, and a lot of player interaction.
