However, recent testing suggests that the PS5 Pro version of Helldivers 2 improves upon these shortcomings. Although developer Arrowhead Game Studios has not officially confirmed enhancements for the PS5 Pro, visual comparisons show a remarkable difference. The game's performance mode on the Pro displays noticeably better image stability, reducing shimmering effects and improving detail clarity. Notably, while the base PS5 runs at 1080p, the Pro version supports a resolution of 1440p, providing 78 percent more pixels. This upgrade is particularly effective on 4K displays, allowing for clearer text and sharper textures. However, the quality mode on PS5 Pro shows only marginal improvements over the base version. While the Pro struggles with certain graphical features, it does deliver a superior gameplay experience, especially in demanding scenarios, offering smoother frame rates and better adaptation to the PS5's VRR range. Although still facing issues like frame pacing and connectivity, Helldivers 2 on PS5 Pro clearly demonstrates its upgraded capabilities and continues to provide gamers with chaotic multiplayer fun.
