The recent 24-hour PSN outage severely disrupted numerous games, forcing developers to rethink their planned events as an entire day disappeared from schedules. Among the impacted titles, Monster Hunter Wilds has stepped up, announcing an extension of its beta by an additional day, although the specifics are still pending. Capcom extended their gratitude to PS5 players for their understanding during the outage and informed them that they are considering a future extension of the Open Beta Test (OBT2) for another 24 hours. This kind of outage is uncommon; we haven't seen such disruptions since 2014, necessitating adjustments in live event programming across various titles. Other games like Destiny 2 and Warframe have also adapted their events in response to the outage, with Destiny planning a future contest and Warframe extending its current visits. While Sony has yet to provide a clear explanation about the outage, they simply cited operational issues. Players of Monster Hunter Wilds can look forward to another beta before the game launches on February 28.
