In another exciting turn of events, the Happy New Year Trust from Quincy also claimed a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery's 777 instant ticket game. Represented by David Spillane, they chose a lump sum payment of $650,000 instead of the $50,000 annual payout over the next 20 years. Buds Liquor Convenience in Brockton, which sold the winning ticket, will receive a $10,000 bonus.
