President Donald Trump has issued a stark ultimatum, urging Israel to abandon its ceasefire with Hamas unless all hostages held in Gaza are released by noon on Saturday. This statement comes on the heels of Hamas’s threat to delay the scheduled hostage release, claiming Israel breached the ceasefire. "If all of the hostages aren't returned by Saturday at 12 o'clock, I think it’s appropriate to cancel it, and all bets are off," Trump stated during a press conference in the Oval Office. He emphasized that the hostages must be returned in full, not in bits and pieces, or else, "all hell is going to break out." When pressed on what this might mean for Gaza, Trump ominously replied, "You'll find out." The former president expressed doubts over the number of hostages still alive, attributing a significant part of the responsibility for the situation to Hamas. Trump's comments also echo his controversial plan for the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, insisting they wouldn't have a right to return to the region if the U.S. were to assume control.
