We’re excited to share our 2024 Sustainability Report – the third consecutive year we’ve created this report with a reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. In 2024, we’ve developed a sustainability framework with three main focus areas reflecting what matters most to our team, our clients, and our planet.

Let’s dive into what we’ve accomplished and where we’re headed.

Climate change and circularity: Powering a greener future

Big news: We’ve achieved 100% renewable energy share for all our data centers, our key Scope 2 emission source, through a combination of renewable electricity matching by us and sourcing by our data center partners. This milestone means we’ve reached 15 tCO2e in Scope 2 in market-based reporting (by comparison, in 2023, we had 1,522 tCO2e in Scope 2 market-based reporting), which includes only heating from our office spaces.

This achievement didn’t happen overnight. The journey began by evaluating our data centers’ energy use and exploring ways to reduce non-renewable sources. In 2024, 67% of our data center energy came from renewable sources through our partners’ renewable electricity contracts and certificates.

To reach 100%, we secured renewable electricity certificates for our facilities in:

  • Meppel (Guarantees of Origin)
  • Asheville (Renewable Electricity Certificates)
  • Mumbai and Jakarta (International Renewable Electricity Certificates)

All certificates were purchased and redeemed according to applicable legislation, ensuring they weren’t sold to or claimed by any third parties.

We continue our journey toward environmental sustainability by working on two key goals: achieving a full transition to renewable energy and addressing any remaining non-renewable energy usage. Additionally, we’re setting clear targets for reducing our Scope 3 emissions to better align with the Paris Agreement goals.

Knowledge sharing: Empowering digital success

At Hostinger, our mission is to provide tools that help individuals and small businesses succeed online faster and more easily. In 2024, we remained focused on providing resources and best practices to support entrepreneurs and startups in building and growing their businesses.

Our team participated in 44 knowledge-sharing events, reaching approximately 1,500 participants with valuable insights. We also openly shared several successful tools and frameworks that have driven our own growth, including:

  • Peak Performance Pulse (PPP): Our performance management system that encourages growth, learning, and high performance through regular feedback and development.
  • Kodee AI Assistant: A personal AI helper that finds and fixes product issues while guiding users to get the most from our products.
  • Fireactions: An open-source tool for self-hosted GitHub runners in secure Firecracker-based virtual machines, reducing workflow queues and improving performance.
  • Success Path Hub: Our learning environment that helps team members master their roles, achieve high standards, and grow professionally.
  • Bar Raiser: A hiring process using objective third-party interviewers to ensure new hires raise our talent standards and culture.
  • OKRs: Our quarterly management framework that tracks measurable results to drive growth and accountability.

By sharing these tools and frameworks, we’re helping the wider business community succeed while promoting innovation and sustainable growth.

Human sustainability: Nurturing our greatest asset

Our team members are the driving force behind Hostinger’s continued growth and innovation. In 2024, we continued to invest in the creation of an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and do their best work.

Growth that matters

Our commitment to professional development earned impressive feedback from our team members, who rated learning and development opportunities 4.4/5 and professional growth 4.4/5. These high scores show our dedication to helping our people develop and advance their careers.

Equal opportunities for all

Women hold about 55% of our leadership positions, while men hold 45%. Women make up 43% of our team, and men make up 57%. Our team’s diversity and merit-based advancement come from our 10 principles, which guide everyone’s goals, decisions, and work ethic.

Well-being as a priority

Our efforts to create a supportive work environment led to an average eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) of 64 out of 100 in 2024. This high score shows that most of our team members view Hostinger as an exceptional workplace where well-being and satisfaction are prioritized.
