Here’s a review few followers of The Gaming Gang saw coming, as I share my thoughts on the Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide from Wizards of the Coast. The volume is filled with content aimed at allowing DMs to make the game their own with chapters devoted to how to run the game, creating adventures and campaigns, a gazetteer focusing on the land of Greyhawk, treasure, and more.

SUMMARY

There's a ton to like about the D&D 2024 edition of the Dungeon Master's Guide. I feel this is far better laid out that the 2014 edition and there's lots of DM advice to not only to make their lives easier but to improve the enjoyment of the players around the table. I'd even go so far as to say if it was a toss up between buying the 2024 PHB or the DMG, I'd recommend you pick up the DM's Guide. I really enjoyed reading the book and it even got my juices flowing to run some D&D. While that's not going to happen that's pretty high praise for any gaming book.
