Falling is not a declaration of defeat, but staying fallen is. We can always come back with a better mindset and a plan!
Remember, all we need is a strong mindset that comprises positivity and a well-designed plan to work on.
Time seems to have hit fast forward since 2020—it's no longer flying; it's practically speeding by! It's already 2025—hard to believe, isn't it?
New years are great inspiration for a new mindset or a fresh start. So here I am in 2025 with a complete roadmap for a better and more productive life.
A fool with a plan can beat a genius without one!
Might as well be that fool with a plan. This year, I am focusing on building a stronger foundation.
It's all about a better lifestyle
Living a life that's only focused on chasing financial success doesn't seem to be something I am willing to do. On the contrary, living a quality life is on my to-do list!
Personally, I don't measure success by money but by a well-maintained life. I have always wanted to build my everyday life in such a way that I am not left drained at the end of the day. While reaching career milestones is important, I would prefer to do it in such a way that I am not burning myself out in the process. A nurturing way of balancing work and life is a top-tier goal. This year I am aiming to be focused on being consistent while keeping a proper record of how I am handling things and observing myself better.
Get Better at the Basics
In 2025 I am working on making my roots strong and the very first step is to have a strong grip on the basics. I have realized that no matter how advanced things come out to be, with a strong foundation everything becomes easy to understand. Also the feeling that I am forgetting things and lack some basic knowledge is quite degrading, can't have that continuing! So my very observant self has decided to master the basics of HTML, CSS, C, Python and JavaScript first and then I can focus on the advanced level of the languages.
I'm combining structured learning and hands-on practice. Even if the progress feels slow, I'll have no regrets because I know that strengthening the basics will eventually lead to greater success in the long run.
Master Power Skills
This year, I am not only focusing on improving my tech knowledge but also on getting a better grip on soft skills. While tech expertise is essential, soft skills like communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration are also important, especially when it comes to thriving in the workspace. So working on my soft skills and polishing them is my top priority. I am dedicating this year to building a strong core.
Target for 2025:
Communication
Poor communication can spoil anything, despite its potential. I am going to focus on my communication skills so I am able to convey my ideas and knowledge in the best way possible, keep my people encouraged, and make sure I don't create communication gaps.
This year I am focusing on concise writing, active listening and framing my communication in a way that suits both tech and non-tech audiences.
Problem Solving
When it comes to coding or life in general, problem-solving skills are a must; might as well get faster and more effective at it. This year I am going to work on refining my problem-solving approach and my analyzing ability.
This way I will be training my brain for better performance when in the
face of trouble, tech or non-tech.
Time Management
Being a perfectionist and a procrastinator is a complete disaster. Seeing the person I am, I really 11want to be better at time management and be able to follow schedules properly, so I am not stressing out at the last moment and am upset about the quality of work I provide. Also, proper time management will help me to balance work and life. So in 2025, I am going to work on strategies to manage my tasks better, set realistic deadlines, and stay consistent.
Adaptability
In tech change is very frequent; every now and then, there are new and different tools and techniques!
Every other project has its own requirement, so being adaptive and being able to shift and function according to those requirements is very important. This year I am focusing on being more flexible, remaining my curious self, and embracing changes.
Collaboration
It offers a great opportunity for both personal and professional growth! Being able to coordinate and function properly as a group is admirable.
Collaboration is not just working together; it's about building a synergy; it's about how we connect together, bring our own piece of expertise to the table and combine those to be more productive as a team. It requires open communication, compatibility, trust, and consideration.
This year I am aiming to be a proactive team player—taking initiative, being supportive & forward-thinking and actively contributing to my team rather than waiting for instructions or doing just the bare minimum.
Building an Effective Portfolio
My goal is to create a strong portfolio by the end of 2025 that speaks for itself. It will include a variety of projects that demonstrate how I overcame obstacles, gained knowledge from them, and grew along the way.
I'll be updating my portfolio as I go further to showcase not only my technical proficiency but also my dedication to teamwork and ongoing development. I want my portfolio to be more than simply a collection of code; it will be a tale of my entire journey, showing all of the lessons I've learned and the experiences that have influenced me.
Exploring Tech Trends That Matters to Me
Staying up-to-date with the trends is so important! This year I am aiming to keep up with the tech trends and explore them before they are already being declared old or at the verge of being replaced, giving preference to the ones that actually resonate with me and align with my tech goals.
This way I will not only be building my knowledge but I will also be able to actively apply those to the real projects. My aim is not just to keep up with the trends but also to grasp the knowledge and use it for my betterment.
Real-World Wins
Along with planning and learning, taking action will forever be equally important! This new year has already brought some really exciting milestones for me.
My Internship Experience
Recently I have started my journey as a full-stack developer intern, and its been a game-changer for my learning process. Each task adds a page to my journey of knowledge, and it's not just about applying what I have learnt; it's about gaining a deeper understanding of how the pieces fit together in practical scenarios. It's spirit lifting to know that you are not just book smart; that you can actually work on real-world problems and take actions by applying the knowledge you have gained. This internship is giving me hands-on experience on both front-end and back-end development, where I am learning to face real-world challenges, team collaboration and sharpening my problem-solving skills. I count this internship in the list of things that are adding value to my life.
My First Blog Post
One of the most exciting opportunity that came with this internship was the chance to publish my first blog post, "WordPress Backup Plugins: 10 Best Free & Paid Choices"!
You can check it out using this link-(https://wpfolk.com/blogs/top-wordpress-backup-plugins).
It was my chance to deeply explore and test the plugins by myself and write about it to educate people seeking knowledge of WordPress backup plugins. I believe I made the most of this opportunity—or at least I think I did.
Learning is fantastic but helping others learn is even more rewarding for me!
From Plans to Action
Writing down problems and plans is a great way to actually be able to work on them effectively and have a proper record of the progress.
Being able to create a proper and realistic plan is the first step but most people get stuck at this very step and forget that it needs actual work to actually succeed.
This year is going to be for me, because in 2025 I am working on my very roots, and I am going to make sure to not entertain anything that becomes an undesired obstacle or distraction. This year I am going to work efficiently and keep my eye only on my goals.
I don't want to work all my life, it's better I work for less years but effectively and give it my all. Nothing comes easy, I have got to put in the work it takes no matter what. Afterall my life, success and failures are not completely mine, there are people who look up to me, rely on me and are giving their best so I can actually do something great in life.
No matter what, we never let those people down.
