Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott Host the Oscars Nominations Announcement
A salute to Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott, who either rawdogged the morning and never went to bed last night, or got up in the middle of the night to get themselves all gussied up to announce the Oscar nominations before the sun came up. It’s a thankless task in a lot of ways, but it also has a tendency to give the announcers’ careers a little bump. Not that these two need the help, but presenting for the Academy in any way is still an honor for most actors and it tends to secure their A-list status. Now lets judge their clothes.
She has never looked so spectacular. The girls are girling, the hair is hairing, and the fit is fitting. We might call a look like this too sedate for a red carpet, but it’s perfect for this setting. We’re afraid we’re just not feeling his suit. We think it’s pretty safe to say that we’re not the types to get weird about men wearing lace. Our problem here is that we’d loathe this suit even more if a woman was wearing it. Lace trim. Just not fabulous. Sorry, Bowen. It might have worked for us if the lace were black.
