Well….Day 5

  • Pandemic — Not the first co-op, but arguably the biggest. I (vastly) prefer Sentinels of the Multiverse, but will admit this was a monster.
  • 7 Wonders — I played this 25 times then stopped for a decade (and rarely saw it on the table for that time, although I think I played once last year).
  • Castles of Burgundy — Point salad gets the nod. A game I played exactly once.
  • Terra Mystica — Played a few times, and played the new simplified one last year. To be fair, I do see Terra Mystica or Gaia Project hit the table a few times a year at gaming. I just typically pick a different table.
  • Concordia — I kinda of like this, but again only played a few times and rarely see.

I think the key point is that the BGG Hall of Fame puts the emphasis on BoardGameGeek. Not Game. As user cyko noted:

Outside of one very notable exception, The BGG Hall of Fame matches up very closely with the top Geek Madness games.

So, I guess I have nothing more to say about this, except — I wonder if these games (in their next edition) will suddenly start sporting a “BGG HoF” logo (and presumably paying for the privilege).

  1. Geekmadness tournament, where BGG users rank games
